Black Exploitation For Profit: A Curated Chat

The Lincolnville Museum & Cultural Center is hosting a curator’s talk and exhibit called “ Black Exploitation For Profit” as part of the 2023 St. Augustine History festival. We will share artifacts in a pop up exhibit on the various usages of items used as money that aided in the slave trade, as well as items utilizing black caricatures in marketing.

This event will take place on the second floor of the museum in the Excelsior Room on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm. It will be free and open to the public, but is first come, first serve.
