Community Art Fair showcasing affordable art for everyone will benefit three local non-profits!
On Sunday Nov. 13th, during the weekend of the Lincolnville Festival, Jule’s Art Tours will host an Art Fair for three local non-profits to sell art and raise funds for great causes. The host, Jule Meyer, enjoys living in the heart of a historic neighborhood. “There is always something happening here on MLK Avenue where my wacky house sits. My neighbors are the best, and the cultural and restaurant offerings are all within walking distance.”
People return to the neighborhood where they grew up, and others come for the live music, food, and history. “Everyone seems to enjoy the warm vibe of a neighborhood with picket fences and actual sidewalks, so folks are looking forward to the Lincolnville Festival”. From the Steampunk dance at the Galimore Center, presented by local creatives Jorge Rivera and Shannon Hart-Reed and Artandlifein3d, to theatre and jazz upstairs at the Lincolnville Museum, to food and music planned by the Lincolnville Festival Committee, there is much to enjoy.
The Art Fair on Jule’s property will feature hand-tinted photographs created by well-known folksinger and storyteller Bob Patterson, and Bob will be there in person playing his 12-string guitar and singing favorite tunes. Bob Patterson and his co-founder Carol Kramer have organized the Lullaby of the Rivers Festival, an annual Earth Day event with music, storytelling, and an Earth Day Fair. Their idea is that people who connect with nature will care about keeping Florida’s rivers clean and will want to protect the environment. Bob and Carol and their enthusiastic board are eager to get the younger generation outdoors and are creating programs that produce healthier happier people. Other local non-profits, the Lincolnville Museum and Artandlifein3D, will have a variety of costumes, paintings and prints for sale.
Jule lives close to the Historic Lincolnville Festifal action (Nov. 11-13). Residing at 152 Martin Luther King Avenue, just down the street from the Lincolnville Museum and Nyk Smith’s Corner Market. In addition to live music and eye-pleasing artwork, there will be complimentary food and beverages, including craft beer donated by Old Coast Ales. The public is welcome to browse and shop Sunday, November 13 from 2-5pm. Cash, PayPal and Venmo only.
