Join the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center for " From Civil War to Civil Rights: A Lincolnville Saga," a five-part series on the events and people that shaped Lincolnville's path throughout history. This series of interactive presentations will examine the plight of African Americans in Lincolnville and St. Augustine from the 19th to the 20th century. From the dawn of emancipation and the promises of Reconstruction to the violence and restriction of segregation and the fight for civil rights, we'll examine our shared past through the journals, news clippings, legal documents and papers of history makers. The first installment, "Watch Night: Looking to Freedom" will occur on Thursday, December 31st at 2:00 p.m.
